Who we collect information on

Members and congregation
We collect information about our members and congregation, which can include details of family members and people associated with you if this is relevant.

Employees
We collect information about current, potential and former employees. This includes Trustees and volunteers.

CAP Clients
We collect information about clients of the North West Newcastle Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre which we operate as a data processor for the UK registered charity: Christians Against Poverty (“CAP”).


What information do we collect about you?

Members and congregation
We collect information about you when you formally join the fellowship. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete information requests for our Prayer List and provide feedback. Website usage information is collected using cookies.  If you are not a member but attend events we will only collect information about you if we are allowed or required to under other UK legislation (e.g. for Safeguarding purposes), or you give us your express permission.

Employees
We collect information when you apply for employment with Regent Christian Fellowship and when an offer of employment is taken up.

CAP Clients
We operate the North West Newcastle Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre.  We collect information required by CAP if you become a client of the Debt Centre.


How will we use the information about you?

Members and congregation
- To nable you to be engaged with the activities of the Fellowship as appropriate to your needs and abilities
- To assist and support you when taking part in the activities of the Fellowship, and with any pastoral needs
- To receive donations, process Gift Aid claims and pay expenses incurred on behalf of the Fellowship
- To assist with our safeguarding obligations towards you or others attending

Employees
We use the information to
- To enter into contract with you and pay your monthly salary and any associated expenses
- To manage employees’ benefits with 3rd parties e.g. pension providers

CAP Clients
We use the information to
- To provide appropriate debt management services and advice
- To enable you to be engaged with the activities of the Fellowship as appropriate to your needs and abilities

Sharing your information
We will not share your personal information without your consent unless allowed, or indeed required, for law enforcement or similar purposes.

Organisations we will share your information with include:

Members and congregation
- Banks – where we need to process your donations
- HMRC – where we need to claim Gift Aid on your donations
- Police and Fire Service – if there is a safeguarding issue or where a crime has been committed

Employees
- HMRC – where we need to conform with employment law
- Charity Commission in England and Wales– where we need to conform with charity law
- Payroll processing company – to correctly process payments to you and HMRC
- Pension Company – to correctly process payments on your behalf
- Courts, Probation or other statutory organisations – where we have a statutory obligation

- Christians Against Poverty (UK Registered Charity No: 1097217) – in accordance with their operating policies.  You may wish to contact Christians Against Poverty directly (capuk.org)  to find out how they may handle your information.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us.  You may ask us to correct or remove information that you feel is inaccurate.
